Randolph School Extends Gratitude to Karl and Fay Leo for Their Generous $3 Million Gift

Randolph School is thrilled to announce a transformative gift of $3 million from Karl and Fay Leo, which will significantly enhance our athletic and innovation spaces and prioritize the creation of welcoming community spaces. This generous contribution will have a lasting and positive impact on our current and future students and the entire Randolph community.

The Leo family’s commitment to the mission and vision of Randolph School has been a source of inspiration and admiration. Their remarkable gift is a testament to their dedication to educational excellence and innovation, and it underscores their belief in the school’s mission of seeking truth, building character, and nurturing all. This generous donation will be allocated to the creation of The Leo Center for Excellence, a state-of-the-art athletic and innovation space, which will further elevate the educational and extracurricular experience at Randolph School. In addition, The Leo Center for Excellence establishes intentional community spaces that provide a warm and inviting environment for gatherings, celebrations, and connections among students, alumni, families, faculty, and the broader Huntsville community.

The funds will be used to expand and enhance our athletic facilities, providing our students with a top-notch environment for physical development and team sports. Additionally, the innovation space will be a hub for creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration, inspiring students to explore their passions in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

“We are thrilled and honored by the Leo’s generosity,” said Adam Dubé, Randolph’s Head of School. “Their contribution will enable us to continue our commitment to providing excellence in academics, the arts and athletics, as well as granting our students unparalleled opportunities for personal growth and achievement.”

Karl and Fay Leo, along with their children, Dr. Christina Cochran ’02, Dr. Channing Cochran ’07, and Landon Leo ’27, have been an integral part of the Randolph School community for many years, and their dedication to foster a culture of excellence aligns perfectly with our school’s values. “For us, what’s exciting is what can be, and what will be in the future,” said Karl. “When you talk about generations and you look at great institutions, how they started and where they are today, it’s taken 10, 20, 30, 100 years, and that’s our hope for Randolph, that this gift will help to create that generation of momentum going into the future.”

The Board of Trustees, and the entire Randolph School community joins in extending its heartfelt gratitude to the Leo family for their unwavering support and commitment to our school’s mission.
