Daryl is not yet admitted to practice law in the state of Alabama.
Daryl Davis joined the firm in 2015 as counsel after moving from New York City. A Yale law grad and self-described lawyer-entrepreneur, Daryl provides general counsel services to emerging and startup, small to medium sized companies in aerospace, bioscience, distribution, enabling technology, information technology and manufacturing industries.
He advises client-companies on Business and Commercial Transactions, Corporate Governance, Regulatory and Compliance, Employment and Executive Compensation, International Business Transactions and Development, and Litigation and Dispute Resolution.
Daryl has a strong passion for business in emerging markets, since traveling abroad as a young adult for leisure and work, first to the Caribbean, then to Africa and Europe.
Growing up, Daryl has an uncle that worked as a Senior Executive for Alcoa, the aluminum company, in developing markets and his uncle’s shared experiences and some visits himself to these foreign destinations, started Daryl on a path to global business and development.
In his practice, Daryl has acquired extensive experience assisting clients in various regions of the world. He can provide specialized knowledge when assisting clients venturing into or from countries in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and the Middle East.
With a penchant for big picture analysis- Daryl assists clients in resolving litigation and commercial disputes. He also advises clients on country-specific market entry strategies and development.
His value includes established foreign relations and working with local agents and counsel from foreign countries to ensure compliance with regulations [Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and other US or foreign country laws] and to resolve disputes or issues arising from commercial transactions or corporate structures.
Prior to joining Leo Law, Daryl practiced at a boutique and two preeminent global, U.S. based law firms, Davis Polk & Wardwell and Boies Schiller & Flexner. After graduating from Yale Law School, Daryl served as a law clerk for the Honorable Joseph W. Hatchett who was then the Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit.
